Discover Fourme d'Ambert, one of France’s oldest cheeses, perfect for those who prefer a more delicate blue. This cheese offers a mild, subtle flavour and a creamy, melt-in-the-mouth texture. Its thin rind with grey hues surrounds a smooth, blue-speckled interior, creating a harmonious balance of taste.
Made in Auvergne, Fourme d’Ambert is crafted with pasteurised 18 litres of milk and requires meticulous care during its production process to achieve its signature smoothness and delicate blue veins. Once moulded and salted in its famous tall cylindrical shape, the cheese is carefully pricked to allow the blue veins to develop, resulting in a mild blue with a delicate aroma. It is proudly recognized with the AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée) designation also known as PDO, ensuring its authenticity and quality.
Perfect for tarts, creamy sauces, or simply enjoyed on crusty bread from your cheese board, it’s best served at room temperature.
